The COVID-19 outbreak caused a substantial shift in the availability of staff and resources, and the accessibility of timely delivery of care. In response to the evolving needs, organizations have shifted staff in a variety of ways to ensure they were able to effectively screen, triage and care for patients. This webinar will provide strategies and tactics of how organizations adjusted their staffing structure to ensure that the most appropriate level of care is delivered during a medical surge such as the COVID-19. Speaker: Maureen A. Schneider, PhD, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, CPHQ, FACHE Dr. Schneider is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Chilton Medical Center, Atlantic Health System. She has worked in New York and New Jersey and has held several executive management positions including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse Executive. Her leadership and clinical career began at New York Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. The goal of the Mentorship Program is to assist members in developing careers in the competitive world of healthcare administration, networking with other healthcare professionals, expanding knowledge of healthcare issues, and promoting the value of participation in The American College of Healthcare Executives. Qualifications: The program is free of charge and open to regular members and administered by volunteer members. Due to the limited availability of volunteer mentors, the program is not open to student members at this time. For the first year of the program, eligible mentees include early careerists who are employed in healthcare administration and in the early stages of their healthcare career (typically under 5 years of professional experience) and interested in professional development.
